Northwest Ski Museum & Ski Hall of Fame group in Leavenworth

October 23, 2014 By Jacqueline Banks

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Northwest Ski Museum and Hall of Fame group had been hosting a Northwest Ski Hall of Fame exhibit in the downstairs of the Enzian Hotel in Leavenworth, but that has now changed and the group is working on a new display at the Upper Valley Historical Society (http://www.leavenworthmuseum.org) museum in downtown Leavenworth at 735 Front Street in (former Nutcracker museum which is still on bottom floor).

The non-profit group is working to someday develop a Pacific Northwest Ski Museum and Hall of Fame in Leavenworth. They have been archiving collections and are working on capital fund-raising. The nine-member board led by Georgia Bakke-Tull has been working with other entities to perhaps develop a mountain sports training center in conjunction with the proposed ski museum.
